In 2002, Winten became involved in a residential subdivision at Haywards Bay, Wollongong. Winten had delivered four out of eight stages comprising just over 200 allotments out of a total of 450 lots. Haywards Bay also delivered up to 40,000 square metres of commercial, retail and bulky goods development.

This estate was sold into the Babcock & Brown Residential Land Partners Trust (now RCL Group) in 2006.

Until September 2013 Winten maintained a shareholding in the site and remained solely responsible for delivery of the estate as an independent development manager. Our ongoing work in this area maintained our good working relationship with Wollongong Council and the relevant Government bodies, particularly Department of Environment and Climate Change, (DECC), and the Department of Planning, (DoP).
